On one of our last photography outings, I saw some fun, flat rocks lying near the railroad tracks. I thought it would be fun to try and stack the rocks on top of the tracks, and see what kind of pictures I could get. I never moved them, all I did was change my perspective. Good metaphor for life I think. Aren't I so deep?! ;)
Leave us a comment telling us Which One is your favorite & WHY and you could be the winner of a $10 gift certificate to Cold Stone. Voting ends: midnight of Sept. 29th. So, hurry up and get ya vote on (er... I mean, in)! #1 #2 #3 #4 #5
oh so hard between three and four. i think i'll go four because i'm crazy about the angle of the railroad track coming off the back. best of luck. keep shootin!
#1...because there's a lot going on in the background, but it isn't in focus, the rocks are...and when i look at it, i think of life...how there's a lot going on, but we need to focus on the task at hand, and somehow, that pile of rocks makes me think of what's important. plus, it's calming to just look at those rocks... i like that picture.
So, you don't know me, but somehow I ran across your blog and love your pictures, so hopefully you don't mind that I keep peeking in :)
I LOVE them all...but my favorite by far is #1. I love the depth of field that you have and the train in the background. It is all composed so nicely and looks so great. These are wall worthy shots!!! :)
I love #4 the best, I love how you see the reflection of the rocks and the texture of the track is surising and is a good contrast to the stacked rocks!

I'm loving the comments, it goes to show you how beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. But wish whoever deleted theirs wouldn't have.
I like #4. I'm not really sure why; I like the reflection and the angle of the rocks.
#4... though it was a tough one. I like the reflection, texture, hues and placement. It's a cool shot. Runner up would be #3.
